The 2004 Season

01-02 SLIVER CREEK FISHING WITH CHRIS

01-02 Will feature a teenage boy learning to fish the world famous Idaho blue ribbon Silver Creek. The valuable lessons this young angler learns in order to catch large rainbow and brown trout on this famous waterway will help anyone wanting to fish this great stream. The guest host is recognized as one of the top fly fishermen on Silver Creek.

 

 

02-02 TURKEY HUNT

02-02 Will get turkey hunters, young and old ready for the spring gobbler season. Host Ed Sweet and long time turkey hunter, Larry Spiegel, take a 12-year-old boy and 12-year-old girl for their first ever spring turkey hunt. The calling and camouflage techniques shown and taught will help any hunter in their turkey hunting endeavors and provide both of these first time turkey hunters a memory to last a lifetime.

 

 

03-02 BILLY SHAW RESERVOIR

03-02 Will feature a father/son fishing the newly opened Billy Shaw Reservoir at the Duck Valley Indian Reservation. They experience some fantastic fly-fishing for large trout utilizing the new Buck's Bags double-hulled two-man pontoon boat. If you've ever wondered what fishing at Duck Valley don't miss this show.

 

 

04-02 DUCK HUNT

04-02 Relives last years special youth waterfowl hunt. Host Ed Sweet travels to Hagerman to hunt with 3 teenagers. He is joined for the hunt by 4 time Idaho Duck Calling and 3 time Idaho Goose Calling Champion, Mike Plein. One of the young hunters is also a Junior Idaho Duck Calling Champion. With all the calling talent and located in Hagerman you can imagine that the duck hunting action is fast and furious. You also won't want to miss the duck dinner that Vicki "The Riverboat Lady" Patterson prepares for the hunting party at her famous Riverboat Restaurant.

 

 

05-02 STEELHEAD FISHING

05-02 Will take viewers on a steelhead-fishing trip in Hell's Canyon. Mark Yates, owner of Hell's Canyon Adventurers, hosts 4 teenagers from Council Middle School who won an essay contest for this fishing trip. Guide Brian Thomas and host Ed Sweet share their experience with these youngsters on their first ever steelhead fishing trip and jet boat ride into Hell's Canyon.

 

 

06-02 ELK HUNT

06-02 Will feature a young hunter and his dad on his first ever big game hunt. Host Ed Sweet accompanies the new hunter into elk country around Garden Valley. After bugling to a bull for over an hour, they finally get an open shot and the youngster gets a nice 5X5 bull elk on his first ever elk hunt.

 

 

07-02 BASS FISHING

07-02 Will treat viewers to a Brownlee Reservoir bass fishing trip with professional tournament bass fisherman, Bink Desaro. Bink and host Dave Gourley teach a young boy the tricks for successfully catching smallmouth bass in Idaho and Oregon. Viewers will learn bass fishing techniques from one of the nation's top young bass fishermen.

 

 

08-02 DOVE HUNT

08-02 Will feature a Southwest Idaho Morning Dove hunt. Host Ed Sweet hunts with a father and his wheelchair bound son and friend as they learn how to shoot the fast elusive doves coming into a harvested grain field. Join them for some fast paced shooting and many dove hunting tips.

 

 

09-02 TROUT TROLLING

09-02 Will take viewers on a trout trolling experience on Salmon Falls Reservoir south of Twin Falls. Walleye Tournament fisherman Roger Rue, shares his trolling and fishing expertise with host Ed Sweet and two teenage boys. Using Cannon planner boards to provide an outrigger trolling system from the boat, the boys easily catch many nice rainbow trout in the 14 20 inch range. Salmon Falls Reservoir boasts a very large trout fishery. Join host Ed Sweet for this informative show on trolling for trout.

 

10-02 SCI KIDS DAY EVENT

10-02 Will join The Treasure Valley Chapter of SCI, National Wild Turkey Federation, and IDF&G in a kid's outdoors day. Over 100 kids are introduced to boat fishing, bank fishing, air rifle marksmanship, shotgun shooting, archery, and animal tracking and identification. This is an outstanding way to introduce youngsters to the marvels and fascination of the great outdoors. Special thanks to, LeRoy Atwood for opening his ranch to provide the land and facilities for this special day.

 

 

 

The 2003 Season

01-01 BUCK FEVER

01-01 Come along as 13 year old Zodi goes on a once in a trophy Mule deer hunt. You will see lots of deer and elk and it will remind you of your younger days when you got just a touch of BUCK FEVER.

 

02-01 Will feature three teens fly-fishing in the middle of Boise in the Boise River. They catch many nice native whitefish as well as some nice rainbow trout.

 

03-01 Will teach two teenagers about duck hunting in the Treasure Valley with guest host Roger Daniels, hunting from a blind near the Snake River over decoys and retrieving gun dog the young hunters get duck calling lessons from this former state champion duck caller.

 

 

04-01 Will feature three mothers and their daughters on a unique mother/daughter pheasant hunt in Blackfoot, ID. Special host Marshall Sage and Bruno, his German Shorthair Pointer, work to make this a special hunt, and the women all bag their first ever ring-necked rooster pheasants on the opening day of Idaho's pheasant season.

 

 

05-01 Will have boys and girls enjoying a great afternoon fishing on a farm pond catching largemouth bass. This is a great way to introduce kids to fishing.

 

 

06-01 Come along as a couple boys experience their first wild chukar hunt. The country is steep and rocky and the birds are extremely wary.

 

 

07-01 SILVER CREEK

07-01 Enjoy a day on the world famous silver creek Fly-fishing for rainbow trout. Watch a veteran angler teach his young son how to succeed on this slow moving water vs. some of the wariest trout anywhere.

 

 

08-01 ALASKA BEAR HUNT

08-01 Will follow a 14 year old on an Alaskan hunt for a trophy Black Bear with host Ed Sweet. Beautiful scenery; helpful bear hunting tips; and a trophy class 7 1/2 ft black Bear make this a must see TV show.

 

 

09-01 JET BOAT STEELHEAD

09-01 Will feature expert steelhead fishermen Phil Jahan and Ray Cox teaching two teenage fishermen, Lee Minch and Tulley Fitzaurit, how to catch their first steelhead in Idaho. Fishing from Cox's jet boat in the Main Salmon River, host Ed Sweet captures the action of a very successful steelhead-fishing trip.

 

 

10-01 GOLDEN TROUT FISHING

10-01 Come along as three kids learn to fly fish for rainbow and golden trout. They get to fish from the bank and they get to try their hand out of a float tube.

 

 

11-01 STEELHEAD FISHING RIGGINS WITH EXODUS OUTFITTERS

11-01 Will feature a 17-year-old boy and his stepfather floating the Salmon River downstream from Riggins, ID with Exodus Wilderness Adventures. This step father and son team has the fishing trip of their lives and catch their first ever steelhead thanks to the guiding skill of Dave Bingaman and Exodus Wilderness Adventures. Learn some steelhead fishing techniques to use this fall.

 

 

12-01 STEELHEAD FISHING CHALLIS WITH WHITE CLOUD OUTFITTERS

12-01 will treat viewers to a steelhead-fishing trip to Challis, ID. Guide mike Scott, white cloud outfitters, puts an 8-year-old boy and his father on some spectacular steelhead fishing in the beautiful Salmon River below Challis.

 

 

13-01 Take in all the beauty of the rugged Sawtooth Mountains as a young girl pursues the majestic mountain goat. This draw is a once in a lifetime tag. Her father comes along as she hopes to create a memory that will last a lifetime.

 

14-01 Two boys spend a great fall day duck hunting close to the Snake River.

 

 

15-01 Will accompany three teenagers, two boys and a girl, into the heartland of pheasant country, South Dakota. Behind excellent bird dog work, they will experience the thrill of hunting wild ring neck pheasants in the farmlands of South Dakota. 16-01 Watch a young boy pursue largemouth bass out of a pontoon boat. The action is non-stop as he really enjoys the Bucks Double Hull pontoon boat.

17-01 You will enjoy watching professional bass fisherman Bink Desaro as he helps out two young girls learning to bass fish.

 

 

18-01 Enjoy this family vacation to Yellowstone national park for some great wildlife, and fly-fishing for Cutthroat Trout. Young Trevor will show his younger sister how to cast and catch like a pro.

 

 

19-01 HELLS CANYON RAFT TRIP WITH HELLS CANYON ADVENTURES

19-01 Will feature the Stillwaugh family and friends enjoying a day raft trip down through Hells Canyon. The trip was auctioned at the Western White Water Association 2003 banquet and provided by Hell's Canyon Adventures. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Hell's Canyon and learn some of the history of this national treasure. This is a breath taking day trip that is enjoyable for all ages. 20-01 Will feature host Ed Sweet sharing his turkey hunting expertise with a young hunter. This program will help any aspiring turkey hunter learn how to be successful in the woods. Viewers will see some fabulous footage of wary gobblers coming to the call. Watch a young girl go on her very first turkey hunt in eastern Montana

 

 

21-01 Will take viewers into Hells Canyon for a phenomenal sturgeon fishing experience. Hell's Canyon Adventurers guide, Brian Thompson, provides great narrative for anyone wanting to learn about sturgeon or Hells Canyon. Two teenage brothers aged 11 and 12 battle a very large sturgeon for two hours before finally landing it. How big is it and how old is it? Watch kids battle this giant prehistoric fish. 22-01 Enjoy two young hunters go on separate deer hunts. One goes home happy and one has hopes for next time. Host Ed Sweet helps them spot and identify their quarry, this is a must see for all aspiring deer hunters.

 

 

23-01 Will take viewers to the great fishing waters of Salmon Falls Reservoir located a mere 3 hours from Boise. Host Ed Sweet will goes walleye fishing with Doug Schliss and Roger LaRue of the Idaho Walleye Association and two teenage girls. Come along as kids spend a fun day catching the tastiest of all game fish. Then they enjoy a walleye shore lunch, which is a tradition in northern mid western states.
